The Time is fulfilled
We have one Glorious Gospel but four accounts. Mattahian, Makan, Lukan
and Johannine accounts of the Gospel. (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) Matthew proclaimed
the birth of the King of Jews in his account. (Matthew 2:2). Luke dedicated an entire
chapter on the glorious birth celebrated by the whole creation, the angel proclaimed
good tiding to all people. The Shepherds glorified and praised God. Simeon at
the temple blessed the couple and the babe. The 84-year-old widow rejoiced at
redemption. (Luke 2). John proclaimed the glory of Christ, the Son of God and
the Son of Man who took on flesh and dwelt with us. Who’s glory John beheld. (John
1-18)
Mark on the other hand introduces Christ, the saviour of humanity as the
time. If you have a paper bible or a digital bible with words of Jesus in red,
you will be in awe that Mark 1:15 are the very first words of Jesus spoken
according to the Markan Gospel. Jesus draws to himself as the time. Eternal God
who created time refers to himself as time means that He has come into our
time. God is always outside time as a creator of all things but at the
Historical event He became time itself for you and me. What is the significance
of this? What does that mean for us? The Key words are “kingdom of God” and it
is already placed in our time. The Everlasting Gospel is the prove of the
Kingdom because a kingdom cannot be proclaimed without a manifesto. Christ is
the Gospel and believing in him and repent from sin we are given a crown of righteousness
when we see him after our time in this world expires. (2 Timothy 4:8) Paul says
we must redeem time because days are evil. (Ephesians 5:16)
Let me conclude by saying that if Jesus is the time, then time does not
belong to you and me. Time is grace given for our pilgrim progress in this
world. Redeem Jesus for He is the “Time” and he has come, died for us, ascended
to heaven, and sits at the right hand of God. The glory of God is expressed in,
“The time is fulfilled,…………………”
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not
return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall
prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” Isaiah 55:11
In Christ Love.
